How it works
A short passage is displayed. Press Start and begin retyping it. The timer begins on your first keystroke. When you finish (or press Finish), your input is compared character-by-character against the original.
Words per minute
WPM is calculated as the number of correctly typed characters divided by 5, divided by the time in minutes. A standard word is 5 characters. This is the same formula used by most online typing tests.
Accuracy
Accuracy is the percentage of characters that match the original, character by character. Spaces and punctuation count. If the passage has 200 characters and you got 190 right, your accuracy is 95%.
